BETTER SALARIES AND CONDI -TXONS "WANTED. PEE PEESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, March 22. The P. and T. Officers’ Association at Auckland passed a motion asking for 30 per cent, increase in salary and compulsory retirement after "40 years’ continuous service, and pointing out that the present staffing gives members no s chance of getting their annunt leave this year. Complaint is made that the department -will not pav overtime until the 44 hours’ limit is ‘ reached, though ■ previous to the war it started after 43 hours; also that the conditions of appointment for the wireless operator at Samoa are too severe;
