TRANSFERS AND PROMOTIONS. Included in recent railway transfers and promotions are:—Air W. E. Hales, district traffic manager’s office, Wellington, to Ktatiomnaster in charge, Picton. vice Air A. M. Arthur, who has retired; Air W. Harding, who has been acting stationmaster, Lambton, to district traffic manager’s office, Wellington ; Air W. Jones, chief booking clerk, Tborndon, to stationmaster, Lambton; Mr Valentine, stationmaster, Wyndham (Southland), to chief accountant's crime, Wellington. It is also stated that Air A. N. Longton, chief booking clerk, Lambton, will shortly be transferred to Ohakuno. Mr E. J. Vollemaere, stationmaster, Kaitoke, has been transferred to the Wellington goods office, and Air O’Connor, formerly of Hawera and Wellington, has teen appointed stationmaster. Kaitoke. Air O. Peach, stationmaster. New Plymouth, has retired on superannuation, and is succeeded by Air J. J. O’Shea, chief clerk, Ne# Plymouth. Air C. T. Jeffreys, district engineer; Obakune, has been transferred to Greymouth, and his place has been taken by Air W. R. B. Bagge. Mr Beach, clerk, Palmerston North, has been transferred to Ashburton. and Air R. I. AlcCracken, chief clerk, Dunedin passenger, to Taihape, the latter’s place being taken by Air J. Pickard, traffic inspector. Transfers from the'Dunedin section fo North Island positions include Alesars J. K. Goodley, E. W. Langford, n. Hal pin, J. E. .Borthwick, S. Wright, C. C. Harris, and B. J. F„ Quin. Afessrs Harvey and Dooley, of Christchurch, have teen -transferred to the chief accountant's office, Wellington.
