FATAL FALL FROM TRAM. At tho inquest concerning the death of Henry Austen Williams, aged 18, who received fatal injuries as a result of falling from a (tramcar at Grey Lynn, the deceased’s mother gave evidence to tho effect that she and her son lived in Gisborne, and had come up to Auckland for a'holiday. , Owing to the actual cause of death not yet being determined, tho coroner, after ordering that a post mortem examination be made, adjourned the inquest to a'later date. A SHUNTER. KILLED. ..Evidence was taken by the coroner at Auckland with regard to tho death of John Sharp, aged 25 years, who received fatal injuries whilst engaged in .shunting operations ,at Papakura, dying as a result att the Auckland Hospital the same evening. Tho deceased was a. returned soldier, and had married in England in March of last year. It was proved that the sad occurrence was quite accidental. HAY’S FOOT AMPUTATED. William Ros s Hay, the locomotive fireman who was injured on Friday while attempting to regain a moving engine after having recovered his hat. which had blown off., slipped and fell. His right foot went under a wheel and was badly crushed. On being removed to the hospital it was found necessary to amputate the injured foot.
