AQUATIC SPORTS. The annual aquatic sports of the training • ship Amokura were held at Thorndon Baths yesterday afternoon in tho presence of a number of interested spectators. The following are the results:— 75yds (open),’ Hamlin 1, Scott 2, Gould 3; beginners' race, Bloomfield 1. King 2, Barclay 3; 50yds breast-stroke. Holmes 1. Hamlin and Ferguson (dead boat) 2; 50yds staff race, Mr Campbell 1, Mr Cox 2; tub race, Kemp 1, Solo 2; sl)yds race in khaki suit, Hamlin 1, Holmes 2, Long 3; Corfu dive, Gould 1, Callaghan and Holmes lied for second place; 200yds handicap, Hamlin (scr) 1, Ferguson (lssec) 2, Holmes (8soc) 3; div. ing competition, Amor 1, Wright 2; 75 yds race for potty officers. Long (ssoc) 1, Hamlin (sor> 2; musical lifebuoys, Morris 1, Kemp 2; consolation race, Hawkins I, Helling 2, Walker 3.
