Tho Blackball Company’s steamer Nga. toro is expected to sail from Lyttelton to-day for the Oathnm Islands.

Having completed an extensive overhaul the Blackball Company’s collier Ngahere loft Wellington lust evening for Greymouth to load coal probably for Napier, Tokomaru Bay, and Whakatane. The Karamu left Gisborne at 4 o’clock yesterday morning for Wellington, where she is clue this afternoon. , 'The vessel will sail, from hero to-night for Westport.

The Kini left Dunedin at 10 p.m. on Wednesday with general cargo for Wellington, calling at Lyttelton en route. Tho vessel is due here to-morrow, and. is' to sail on Monday for Greymouth. Air Maplesdcn, second engineer of tho Ngahere, has retired from tho Blackball Company’s service and has accepted an engagement with the ■ Wellington Patent Slip Company. Mr D. M. MoMurran, late second engineer of the Ngatoro, has joined tho Ngahere in a similar capacity. Air Potts, engineer in the employ of the Wellington Patent Slip Company, has accepted tho position of engineer on the Lyttelton Harbour Board's tug Lyttelton.

. The 'Wakatu, from Wellington, was detained at Kaikoura yesterday by bad weather, but it is believed she will bo able to work the latter port this morning. The vessel will not be back at Wellington before Monday night. The future movements are mot announced of the Kokiri, which arrived at Wellington at 9 a.m. yesterday coal-laden from Westport.

Richardson and Co/s auxiliary scow Echo is duo at Wellington in about a week’s time from Napier, en route, to AVesthaveu to load timber for Wellington.

Johnston and Co. advise that the steamer Koutunui is to got away from Wellington at noon to-morrow for Na pier. From the latter port she is to return to Wellington in order to make two trips from this port with cargo for East Coast stations. The Wootton is to leave AVellington at noon to-morrow’ for Lyttelton, and is expected back hero next Wcdnseday. The repairs to the Baden Powell at Lyttelton aro occupying longer than was anticipated, and the vessel is not expected back at AVellington till about the middle of next week.

The refitting of the Gisborne Farmers’ Meat .Company’s steamer Admiral Cadrinvton at Auckland is expected to to completed well within tho estimated time. She is to go into dock at Auckland at the end of the week for cleaning and painting • The steamer Kauri is to load a cargo of wheat at Melbourne this week for Dunodin and Timaru. The Kalwarra, which left Auckland for Newcastle last Friday, is to go from Newcastle to Melbourne to load a cargo of wheat for New Zealand,

Murray, Roberts and Co., the local agents for the cargo steamer Heilbronn, now discharging at Auckland, advise that the vessel will leave that port at daybreak to-morrow for AVellington, where she is due about midday on Monday.
