The well-known coastal steamer Kahu, for many years a regular cargo carrier between Wellington-Napier and East Coast stations, managed under the local agency of Johnston and Co., has been sold by Richardson and Co., Napier, to Mr P. Monroe, of Napier, who intends to convert her into atrawler. Mr Monroe has been interested for some years in trawling at Napier and Auckland. He will take delivery of 'the vessel immediately. The Kahu is an iron and steel vessel of 138 tons gross and 99 tons net, built for Richardson and 00. in 1886 by H. S. Edwards and, Son, Newcastle. " England, and was engined by the N.E.
