RAILWAY TRANSFERS
A further batch of railway transfers is announced. Mr H. A. Penn, Traffic Inspector at Christchurch, has been promoted to Traffic Inspector at Auckland. His place will he taken by Mr A. C. Truman, at present assist-oht-relieving' officer at Christchurch. Mr H. R. Bush, clerk at Lyttelton. will be stationmaster at Taihape, his place being taken by Mr BE. C. Guinness, stationmaster at Kaiapoi. Mr J. B. Campbell, stationmaster at Palmerston South, will go to Kaiapoi. Mr J.- E. Carter, at present stationmaster ail Leeston, will take up his duties as clerk at Ashburton. Mt ft. MoDougall, stationmaster, is leaving Rangiora for Rakaia. Mr A. R. Taylor, clerk in the goods department at Christchurch, will be chief clerk at Tiinaru; and Mr C. E. Lancaster, stationmaster at Waimato, is promoted to the position of lelicvihg officer at Invercargill.
