BENZINE SHORTAGE
AN AUCKLAND PROTEST. The Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association (says the "Star") dispatched the following telegram to the Prime Miniated at "Wellington.:—"Returned soldiers in all parts of the province held up for benzine, including several doctors in country districts. Board of Trade promised to supply to several of these men over two weeks ago, but have failed to keep their engagements. Large firms are getting consideration, while the small, struggling man in being neglected. Suggest you ask for return showing quantities of benzine allotted to all firms in Auckland during the past three -weeks."
