There is a -svisespr£a<l movement m favour of nominating Von Hindenburg as President of Germany, and he is willing to accept nomination. He is the most conspicuous figure in Germany, and is acceptable to all parties except the Independent Socialists. It is asserted that even those who are opposed to militarism and the restoration of the Hohenzollerna will support Hmdenburg; but the openly regard bis election as an _ important step towards the restoration of tho Monarchy in some form.
