THE LICENSING ACT
LICENSEE FINED FOR BREACH. Two charges of infringing the provisions of tne Licensing Act were preferred against William H. Richards, licensee of the’ Metropolitan Hotel (Mr H. F. O’Leary), at the Police Court yesterday. it was alleged that he sold whisky after hours and that ho supplied Patrick Ryan, a person not entitled to be supplied. Counsel, who entered a plea of guilty, said tho defendant's wile supplied the liquor. A lino of £5, with 9s costs, was imposed in respect of each offence.
