THE PRICE OF MILK
WINTER INCREASE NECESSARY. The subject of milk prices -was discussed at last night's meeting of the Citr Council. Councillor C. H. Chapman asked tho chairman of the milk committee (Councillor W. H. Bennett) - whether the increased price that was being paid to tho farmers for milk would hare to be passed on to the consumers, and whether there was any possibility of a uniform price at all times of tbc year. Councillor Bennett replied that there would be no necessity to increase tho price until what was called the winter term was reached. He could not hold out any hope that the uniform'prices would be continued, for it would bo necessary to increase the price of tho commodity in the winter months.
