At the last meeting of the council of the Wellington Sunday School Union Jl4. Arthur Hoby. president, occupying tho chair, the aoting-scorotary reported that the annual convention would bo held at Feilding during Easter, and stops wore being taken to make it as successful and helpful to teachers as in tho past. Mr Howe reported having revisited most of tho schools which, had been opened in tho back country districts during tho last twelve mouths, aTi of Which were doing remarkably well. Mr Thompson, the secretary, had passed through some parts of Canada and America, and letters from him state that he had received nothing but courtesy and hospitality wherever ho went, especially from business men. He had visited' a good many of tho Sunday schools, and attended a song festival in what is claimed to bo the largest openair theatre in the world. The meeting decided to ask Mr Thompson to ho their representative at tho world-wide convention to be- hold next October in Tokio, Japan, if he could uessibly arrange it.
