The Jugo-Slavs havo warned tho Peace Conference, and also the British and American Governments, that unless D'Annunzio is withdrawn a Bal-kan-Italian war may begin immediately. D'Annunzio's latest exploit haa caused the Allies much concern and embarrassment. Headed by the fiery poet, whose Fiume adventure astonished the world, a naval expedition occupied Zara, the capital of Dalmatia, and in a proclamation to tho Italians in tho Adriatic ho promised deliverance the same as in th e case of Fiume.
