HALLOWED SPOTS
TENDING GALLIPOLI GRAVES. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association LONDON, November 25. The staff of tho War Graves Commission has been installed at Kilid Bahr. Colonel Hughes, who recently visited Constantinople, has completed arrangements with tho Turkish authorities to facilitate operations. Anzao will be the first spot treated. Already there are* between 'lO and 50 burial spots, also burial grounds at Holies, including all those in which Australians are buried. It will bo five months before the roads are fit for motor traffic. The whole scene is again one of activo Australian operations—an epilogue of tho tragedy of 1915. Tho scone has been ewept clear of all that is hideous, and only silent woodon monuments remain. Tho trenches aro overgrown with shrubs and flowers. It is hoped that' by noxt spring everything 'will bo in .readiness for those who aro ablo to secure transport facilities to make the pilgrimage to Gallipoli.
