TARIFF READJUSTMENT

The ‘‘Now York Times" correspond-' cnfc at Ottawa says that Canadian manufacturers have asked the Federal Government to appoint a permanent Advisory Committee to investigate and readjust’ the 'tariff in orfler to meet the changing conditions at home and abroad. They hp,ve also requested that the proposed revision > following the Federal Cabinet's inquiry should be postponed. The Governraenlfc has assented to the first request, but has refused the other, claiming that it is pledged to a tariff revision in the next session of Parliament, and would carry out its promise.
