COAL DISPUTE
" CO-SLOW " POLICY REPORTED OFFER SCOUTED BY OFFICIALS. No confirmation can be obtained from official sources of tho reijorted offer of | the Miners' Federation that, the "goslow'' policy in the mines would cease and the output be raised to normal if the Mine-owners' Association consented to another conference (with an independent chairman) with the- representatives of the New Zealand miners on the points in dispute—wages and . general working conditions and a national award. MY AY. Pryor, secretary of the Mineowners' Association, when questioned last night by a "Times" representative, said he had received no communication from tho Miners Federation, of the nature described. Mr J. Roberta, secretary of the Alliance of Labour, with which the Miners' Federation is.affiliated, and which keeps in close touch with all the affiliated organisations, said he knew nothing of such a communication. Another official expressed the opinion that the reported letter was but a "feeler."
