PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION
On tho House going into committee on the Proportional Representation Bill, Air Homes suggested that tho measure, c. on it carried, could not. affect the next general election, while it could bo introduced next session for tho election following. Ho therefore moved to report progress. Air Vcitch said ho recognised that tho bill could not bo carried this session. If tho first clause was carried, ho would'raise no objection to progress being reported. Tho clause was carried, and progress reported accordingly.
