CEASES ON MAT 31st. (Received May 5, 12. 16 a.m.) LONDON, May 8

The Pres# Bureau states that the Board of Trade - announces that all control on the sale and distribution of commodities exercised under the Defence of the Realm Act has been abolished, or will cease on May 31st, except in a few instances, including Australasian wool, flax, flax seed, and Egyptian cotton. The last-named will continue to be controlled till July ’list. The notice does not refer to restrictions on imports and exports, which already have been largely reduced and are subject of special Government action. The Allies have decided to withdraw all black lists on April 28th (?May), when disabilities attaching •to trade communication with firms thereon will cease to operate.
