(From Oar Own Correspondent.) ' iLASTBBTON. February 17. A tennis match played at Tenui last Saturday between the Masterbon and Tenui Club resulted in a draw, each side winning eight gomes. In a Shield bowling match on Saturday Masterton A defeated Park by 83 points t0,_43. ... ilr J. B. McKenzie has given notice that he will move at the annual meeting of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society that Mr Alex. McLeod, in consideration of his past long and valuable services, bo elected an honorary life member of the society. The death occurred yesterday of Mrs Stevenson, wife of Mr Philip Stevenson. after a short lllpdss. Deceased was 30 years of age ana was a daughter of Mr J. Duckett, of Musterton. A husband i£nd four children (the youngest four weeks and the oldest seven years) are left. Mr J. B. MoV. Calwcll has been elected president of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society and Messrs W. JO. Chamberlain and E. H. Waddington vice-pre-sidents. Private H. I. Pike, of Gladstone, will return to New Zealand at the end of the month.
