UNION COMPANY COMES INTO LINE. To bring them into line with the fn« creased rates announced by the Hud-dart-Parker Company, Ltd., .the Wellington manager for the Union Steamship Company (Mr W. A.' Kennedy) announced on Saturday that the freights and fares for the company's intercolonial service are to be increased. Freight charges will now be 35s per ton, and the single saloon and steerage fares to ■ Sydney will be £9 17s and £5 lis respectively. The advances havo been made as a. consequence of the quarantine restrictions in Australia. and New Zealand.'
