'MEN’S association. CHAMPIONSHIP~ WON BY TRENTHAM A. The final game in the men’s competition between Trentham A and Ramblers tyas played at Karori Park cn Saturday and resulted in a win tor Trentham by two goals to one. In the first spell Ramblers, playing against the wind from the bully-off, carried play into Trentham quarters and for a time kept up the attack. Good play by Trentham hacks cleared, and for a time play was In midfield. Ramblers With great dash carried play to their opponents’ end. and Blaokie scored. Play from this to the end of the spell was fairly even. ' In the second spell Trentham early started attacking, but the fine defence of the Ramblers - backs saved. Both teams were playing with great combination, and the game was very fast and interesting. Half-way through the spell Trentham forwards broke away and reached Ramblers’ circle, Champness finding the net. Trentham was now playing with great dash, and get. ting all the best of the play, and shortly before time Champness scored the winning goal. Messrs Pragnell and Edwards wore referee*.
