ELOCUTIONARY RECITAL
Colonel J. R. Purdy, who is giving I an elocutionary recital in the concert ohamber, Town Hall, on October Bth, | hag been before the public for many years as a well-known elocutionist. He has given many recitals Before, both in Wellington, Auckland, and othercentres, also in the camps and hospitals. He is a. member of the Savage and Orphans' OTubs. He is a patron of the drama, has appeared many times before the public, and is well-known for his imeprsonations. He has a profound knowledge of elocution, and the art of acting generally.
