He paid a tribute to the work" of Superintendent Tait. Councillor Barber, chairman of the lire brigades committee of the Citv Counoil, presented prizes to the follcnyiriij brjgadesmen':— Central station. Fireman Watts: Hataitai, Fireman Alcocks; Brooklyn, Fireman Morris; Kelburn. Fireman Howe; Island Bay, Fireman Gill. Police,—Lieutenant A. Asher. 36 points: Mr F. J. BaUinger, 33 points: Mr W. Lange. 26 points; Mr J. Ugden, 20 points; Mr H. Woolcott, 18 points. Lieutenant Gusack wds presented by the Mayor with three guineas for his services in connection with the card tournament.
