LICENSING CASE
HOTELKEEPER CONVICTED ON SEVERAL CHARGES. Press Association. NELSON. Septembers. Mr E. C. Levvev. S.M.. hoard a case to-day in which W. S. Horracks, licensee of- the Tasman Hotel, was charged with supplying liquor before the lawful hours of opening, with exposing liquor before hours, with selling liquor before hours, and with permitting treating* The case rested on the evidence of a constable, supported by certain admissions made bv another defendant, who was charged with treating, but denied bv bim. Horracks was convicted on all charges. He was fined XM) for treating, £lO for supplying, £1 «ach for exposing and selling, and on the last charge his licensee was endorsed. Bass, a barman, was convicted of permitting treating and fined £lO. One man found on trie premises was fined £7 10s. and another £5. Security-for appeal was fixed in all cases.
