Sims, Details (late B Company, 42nd Reinforcement), IX2 days’ detention; Private H. J. Hooper, Details (late A Company, 42nd Reinforcement), 80 days detention; Private L. Webster,, Details (late F Company, 4.3 rd Reinforcement), 120 days’ detention. Absent withoit leave and resisting an escort: Private (temporary-corporal) F. J. Ruane, 49th Reinforcement (late 47th Reinforcement), 90 days’ detention. Desertion when under orders for active service and loss of equipment; Sapper M. J. Carroll, New Zealand Engineers’ Reinforcement, 120 days’ detention, stoppages of pay £2 8s lid; Private E. T. Northcott, Details (late B Company, 40th Reinforcement), 180 days’ detention, stoppages of pay 14s 9d; Private T. Wild. Details (late E Company, 40th Reinforcement). 112 days’ detention, stoppages of pay 2s 4d; Private (temporary-corporal) B. L. Wilkinson, Details (late D Company, 34th Reinforcement), 180 days* detention, stoppages of pay 6s 6d; Private J. W. Scholefield, Details (late A Company, BGth B, i nfo ice in «nt >, 150 days detention, stoppages of pay Xl Is Id. Desertion and loss of equipment, Private C. J- Grant. Details (late E Company. 40th Reinforcement), 112 days’ detention, stoppages of pay 8s 3d. Disobeying a “lawful' command of his superior officer: Private L. J. Qarlick, B Company, 43rd Reinforcement, GO days detention. In all cases, except that ql Private Ruane. the sentence is mitigated so that if the accused embarks for active service outside of . e w oealand, then upon arrival at the final port of disembarkation, the unexpircrt portion (if any) of his sentence shall be remitted.
