THE OAMARU TRAGEDY
Press Association. OAMARU, Juno 18. , The Coroner's inquiry into the death of George Swan Burke, who was murdered at Genimell's Crossing, near* Oamaru, on the evening of April 14th, was .hold this afternoon before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., District Coroner. After lengthy evidence had been submitted by the police, the Coroner recorded the following verdict:— "That George Swan Burke was murdered by Onslow Mayiew by means by "a bullet discharged from a rifle at Gemmell's Crossing on April 14th. 1918."
