An Italian semi-official message states: Seventy-one of Austria's 92 I mobilised divisions have already been identified, constituting the whole of Austro-Hungary's efficient troops. The enemy is employing all his available artillery and aircraft. No fewer than 7,500 guns were in action. Three Aus'tro-Hungarian armies were engaged under 1' leid-Marshal voa Ncowna, namely von Scheutchensiuei's army, between Astico and the river Piave, Archduke Joseph's at Jlontello, and von Wurrn's on the Lower Piave. Thousands of" bodies cover the ground in the mountain sector, and are becoming heaped along tho Piave. The enemy's gains after, two days' fighting were very slight compared with the objectives assigned Jor the first day. Captured orders urge the necessity of capturing the fortified- area with a view to reaching the Italian supplies.
