MASTER PLUMBER'S UNION
At tlie annual general meeting of members of the Wellington Master Plumbers’ Industrial Union of lampdoyers, at which Mr W. Judd (president) presided, the annual report and; the statement of income and expenditure and balance-sheet were adopted. The president in his address pointed out the success attending the Union's affairs during the past year and dealt briefly with matters arising out of the report. - ■
/■Clio election of officers-resulted:—Pre-sident, Mr W. Judd (re-elected); vicepresident, Mr A. Ramsay; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. J. Petlierick; lion, auditor, Mr A. E. Wells; executive committee, Messrs T. Ballinger, H. Hhnson, <J. Barford, S. Mclvor, S. L. Bussell. G. W. Key and IT. V. PutterC all re-elected). A recommendation of the executive that whilst a financial member of the union is jin camp or on military service outside New Zealand, he bo an honorary member of the union, was . adopted. Messrs R, W. Jenkins, P. 11. Jansen and J. Casey were ordered to bo transferred to the honorary members 1 list. Mr _ Alexander raised the ' question of assisting the members of smaller firms, being ‘momhv v rs of the association, who ahe ordered into camp, and considered that some stops should be . taken. by,. the union to arrange for any assistance which such firms may desire at the hands of the association. Mr Wells suggested that
such firms bo written to and informed that the association was prepared to render assistance if such is desired. The president suggested that a committee from the union be appointed to advise members who have enlisted and who have left their businesses in tho bands of a manager, and tho following were appointed to the committee; Messrs W. Judd, Bamsay and Ballinger. Mr,,C. R. Rosie, Adelaide road, Wellington, , was elected a member of the association.
