SHOWMAN FINED
PAYING THE AMUSEMENT TAN. Association. AUCKLAND, May 7. In the Police Court to-day, Cecil Barrie, a travelling picture showman, waa fined AlO on two informations for issuing tickets not stamped indicating that the amusement tax nad been paid. The police said that defendant, when showing at a suburban township, issued ordinary 1 3 Cd tickets and just before,'the interval he distributed amongst the audience war tax tickets which ;he tried to collect as the audience left the building. Tickets dropped on the floor were picked up and ■old again.
