In the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr S. E. Moarthy, S.M., James Wallace, for a breach of a prohibition order, was fined 40s, in default a fortnight’s imprisonment. CIVIL OASES. . Woqtton waslordered to pay the Wellington Bakers’ Union £4 13s 2d by the same date, in default four days’- imprisonment.
Archibald McPhaal Sinclair (far whom "Mr T.W, Hislop appeared) sued James Laing (who was represented by Mr A. W. Blair) for £5 7s in connection with tho carrying out of a building contract. The magistrate allowed a set-off of £1 12s, and gave judgment for plaintiff for £3 6s, including £1 Bs, paid into court. ~
