Tho committee of the IVellingtofi. local branch of the Kew Zealand Society of Accountants has appointed Mr John S. Barton, chairman, and Mr Ernest W. Hunt local secretary of the branch for tho ensuing year. A sub-committee has been set up to arrange meetings to discuss , professional subjects and other matters affecting, commercial interests. _ The first meeting of members will be held in the Meeting Hall of the Society on Thursday. next, the 11th inst., when the chairman will defiyer an address on “Municipal Trad.ng. ’ Hr C. M. Bowden, a. member of the local committee, and also a member, of tho Council or the Society, was appointed to represent the local branch on the Council of the ■Wellington Chamber of Commerce.
