ATHLETIC PARK
The members of the park retention scheme .met last night, Mr E. Wylie occupying the chair. There was also a large attendance of members. In view of the present position of the park retention fund it was decided to ask the Sports Protection League's help in a deputation to the City Council to get a full remission of rates on Athletic Park for the duration of the war and sis months thereafter. It was also decided to ask the council for the free uee of the Town Hall on the occasion of Mr T. M. Wilford's lecture in aid of the ftrad. The various sub-committees reported that the work in connection with the sale of tickets was going on steadily, and donations were coming in freely. The amount received to date totals £255 7s. •
