RETURN OF THE CRIPPLES

Long lists of New Zealand casualtiles appear with painful frequency now, making the duty of every person to help in the establishment of the Crippled Soldiers’ Hostel the more imperative. When the heroes, who have been maimed in fighting the Empirev battles, return to the land they left, fit in physique, there should at least be prepared a home for them as a token of gratitude for services rendered. With this in view, the attention of readers is again directed to the particulars advertised in this issue of an Art Union to be held to raise funds for the establishment of a hostel for crippled soldiers in a central position in Wellington. £IO,OOO at least are required for this object. It is a lot of money to raise by sixpenny tickets, therefore it behoves every person in the Dominion to help.
