THE SHIPPING FUSION
UNION COAIPANY SHAREHOLDERS APPROVE. Press Association. DUNEDIN, July SW. In regard to the fusion between the P. and O. Company and the Union Company, it is announced that about 95 ner cent, of the shareholders in the latter have agreed to hand in their shares. A circular.has been issued to the balance of the shareholders, inviting them to act similarly. It is understood that a fair number of shareholders have retained a small holding out of sentiment, but one or two have decided to keep the whole of their shares in the Union Company.
