FRUIT-PRESERVING INDUSTRY
GOVERNMENT ASKED TO CONTROL.

The Fruit Growers Association urges the Government to control tho fruit-preserving industry, and guarantee factories and growers fixed prices; and so reduce tho excise on spirits made from fruit. Mr Hughes suggested a conference on tho subject.
