THE REFLOATED BARQUE

DIVER COMPLETES EXAMINATION TO-DAY.

Permission Ims been granted by the city engineer to place the refloated barque on the Wellington patent slip, conditional to the construction of a temporary roadway to enable vehicular traffic to pass along the Evans Bay road which will be blocked at the slipway owing to the length of the vessel. It has been decided to put out the whole of the vessel’s cargo at W ellington. Mr B. Scotland, of Gannaway and Co., the stevedores, informed a “New Zealand Times” representative yesterday that about nine more working days would be required to discharge all the cargo from the harque. Mr August Hans, diver for the Wellington Harbour Board, who is examining the vessel, completed the survey of the starboard side and half of the port side of the barque yesterday. Ho will complete his examination this morning, and his report will be submitted to Mr H. A. Rothwell, who is local agent for Lloyd’s Corporation.
