The Empire Service League will hold a meeting on Friday next at 3.30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce. Johnston and Co. have received instructions to sell on Wednesday next at 1 p.m.. at their rooms, 400 lots of miscellaneous furniture. Mr W. Hendry advertises that he has taken charge of the tailoring department of JB. C. Browne and Co., Ltd. Messrs George Thomas and Co. advertise an extensive list of unclaimed cargo ex various steamers, to be sold by public auction, without reserve, at tho Fruit Exchange, Allen street, on Thursday, at noon. A law holiday -'will be observed on the coming Saturday.
