CURTAILMENT OF RACING
REDUCTIONS IN OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND. Press Association. • DUNEDIN, June 18. A meeting of the district committee was held to-night to consider the reduction in the number of racing days in Otago and Southland 1 . Tho committee decided on the following reductions; — _ . Otago Hunt, one day ; Clifdon Racing Club, one day; Cromwell, one day; Dunedin, two days; Gore, one day; Lake County, two days; North Otago, ono day; Tapanui, two daws; Vincent, one day; Waikouaiti, one dayThe Beaumont and Lawrence Clubs are to amalagamate and race one day at Beaumont. The Lake County and Tapanui Clubs went out voluntarily. OWNERS, BREEDERS, AND TRAINERS FORM ASSOCIATION. Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 18. At a meeting of horseowners, breeders and trainers, it was decided to form an association to conserve the interests of those represented. The meeting appointed a deputation, to wait dh local clubs, placing before them the views of the meeting regarding the proposed curtailment of racing and allocation of racing days.
