RED CROSS SOCIETY’S RULES

Ilie New Zealand Branch of the British Ked Cross, having adopted a constitution which leaves each centre to mu ho its own district rules, the Wellington Centre has adopted the following in lieu of the rules a*, present existing, namely:— 1. Bach centre shall appoint a women's committee, which shall consist of a president, vice-president, a secretary and a treasurer, ami a committee of women which shall attend to the general business of the Centre, also an executive committee of fifteen men elected by the society, and two women appointed by the women’s committee, and they shall attend to the finance organisation of the district, and shall appoint their own chairman. 2. All those who subscribe at least 2s tkl per annum to the society, or are engaged in working for the society and desire to be enrolled, shall be members of the branch. , _ 3. Any committee doing Bed Cross work in the district may be recognised us a sub-centre of the Wellington CenUc. . - ■t. Baoh sub-centre may appoint one of Us members who shall be entitled to bo present at any meeting of the executive committee of the Centre. Any sub-centre may appoint any member of the committee or the secretary to act as proxy for the sub-centre, but no person other than the secretary shall bo entitled t 0 hold more than three proxies. , ~ ' . . 5. Bach sub-centre shall, subject to these rules, be self-managing and shall appoint such officers and make such infos as it thinks fit. 8. A quorum' for any committee meeting shall bo five. 7. The existing office-bearers and the committees ot the centre and each subcenfte shall continue to act until their successors nro appointed. 8. The executive committee shall appoint a trustee of its funds. 9. Any committee shall have power to fill auy vacancy in its members. 10.
