WELLINGTON MUNICIPAL GOLF CLUB

■ FIRST ANNUAL MEETING. The first annual general meeting of the members of the Wellington Municipal Golf Club was held in the parilion on the links on Saturday. There were .present: Dr. K. A. Cameron (in the chair), Messrs Dunlop, Watt, Gibson, Rogers; Mclntosh, Shand. M. I'. Gibson, Twomey, Charles and W. Whitehead (hon secretary). The report and balance-sheet were read, and after some remarks by Dr. Cameron reviewing the history of the formation of the links and the attitude taken up by the City Council with regard to Sunday play it was resolved that they be received and adopted. It was resolved that the incoming committee be recommended to promote a match tournament for junior players only. Dr. Cameron was elected president of the club and the following vice-presi-dents: Hon. A. L. Herdman, M.P., Dr. Newman, M.P., Messrs A. H. Hindmarsh, M.P.. T. M. Wilford, M.P., B. Fletcher, D. MacLaren, and A. J. Cameron, Professor MacKenzie and Colonel Hughes. The following were elected honorary' members of the club: Councillors G. Frost, L. McKenzie. M. Luckie. J. E. Fitzgerald, W. J. Thompson, and J. Hutcheson, and Messrs Morton, Patterson, and Mcßain. The election of olficers and committee resulted as follows: —Captain, Dr. R. A. Cameron; secretary, W. Whitehead; treasurer. J. Mclntosh; Committee; P. C. Watt. F. N. Dunlop, A. Rogers, T. Gibson, and L. B. Rhodes.
