MISAPPROPRIATED MONEY
GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL PLEADS GUILTY. Press Association. WAIHI, January 25. P. Phillips, Government officer, pleaded guilty to-day to a charge of misappropriation of £l2B of Government money. Mr Meek, Government auditor, in his examination of the court book’s discovered the discrepnncies. Accused was committed to the Supremo Court for sentence, bail being allowed.
