MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL
The fortnightly meeting of the Miramar Borough. Council was hel4 last night, there being present: The Mayor (Mr F. Townsend), and Councillors « • H. Green, Pollock and Telford. \ complaint was .received from Mr R,‘ E. Hayes referring to the practice of people throwing broken bottles and tins into the water at Seatoun; and be wanted to know if they could he prosecuted.—The council' decided to inform Mr Hayes that if he could supply the necessary information, the offenders would be penalised. The South AVellington Church of Christ Bible School was granted permission to use the Seatoun recreation ground for their annual picnic on January 22nd. , , It was decided that the fee for the registering of dogs be ss, except for working dogs, -which would be at a smaller rate. Accounts amounting to -£420 were passed tor payment.
