MANAWATU MEETING LINTON CLUB WINS THE CHAMPIONSHIP. The Manawatu Rifle Association's meeting was concluded on Sattiroay. The weather in the morning was Jar from favourable, and the shooting consequently suffered. In. the afternoon, however, when the weather had clearcm.l, M>ma good scores wore put. up, notable among them being H. Hunt s (Suburbs) 100 in the teams* championship. This match provided the ,i>est competition of the day. When the last men went down to shoot three teams still had a chance, and there was much excitement at the finish, when Tin ton defeated Suburbs bv the narrow margin of one point. The following wore the scores, as given in the “Manawatu Times*-* yesterday KAIHANGA MATCH, 700 yards, 10 shots.
