ATTEMPT AT A HOLD-UP. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright WASHINGTON, July 13. The British Embassy confirms a report regarding an attempted hold-up of Sir Cecil Spring-Rice (the British Ambassador) while motoring near ulon Cove, before the attempted assassination of Mr J. P. Morgan. Sir Cecil Spring-Rice’s chauffeur drove through the men, who attempted pursuit, .but Sir Cecil’s car easily outdistanced them.
