GRESHAM HOTEL

(Late City Buffet Hotel.)

Mr P. J. (“Paddy”} Griffin, late of the Pier Hotel, who has purchased the well-known property known as the City Buffet Hotel,, is carrying out extensive structural alterations to the building. The plans for these were drawn by Mr J. Charlesworth, architect, and are be-' ing carried into execution by Messrs Campbell and Burke.; builders.. The whole of the interior of the Gresham is being remodelled and an -up-to-date hotel newly furnished by the genial licensee, will be the result. Altogether some £SOOO is being spent in -the improvements. On the ground floor there will he a large oval bar, modern in design, a vestibule, and a large diningroom. The first floor, when complete, will contain 1 bedrooms. commercial rooms, smoking-rooms, and sitting-rooms, and ■ the ‘ second floor bed and sittingrooms. There is no-doubt that in the near future "The Gresham” will be numbered among the most popular hotels in the city. •
