SHORTAGE OF MUNITIONS
WHAT CANADA AIMS AT. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received July 9, 11.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, July 9. The newspapers, commenting on Sir lan Hamilton’s report, point to the shortage of munitions and tho effective use in the hands of the Turks of German machine-guns. They support a scheme of national subscription to provide machine-guns. Tho aim is that every new Canadian battalion going to the front shall have four times the equipment provided by the War Office, or as many as tho most favoured , Hun battalions are known to possess.
