The “Novoo Vremya” carefully investigated the case of Germans _in Galicia .burning alive the Russian wounded, together with doctors. The wounded men were infectious cases from the Carpathians left at the Jesuit College at Chyrovv, and when the Germans came up, they removed tho infected cases, and isolated them in wooden barracks with the Russian doctors attending them. They shut all the windows and doors, and poured paraffin on the building, burning hundreds alive. 'l'ho Germans do not deny the fact. German aeroplanes dropped proclamations pointing out that they were forced to resort to cruelty as a stern necessity, in order not to carry the mfoction to their army, and to teach the Russians not to leave sick and wounded behind, thus burdening the German medical Half. , Tho proclamation concludes with the hope that the Russians will learn ...if lesson.
