In. accordance with a suggestion made bv the “Press,” the Mayor of Christchurch is calling a public , meetining for Monday night to inaugurate an organisation having for its object a tqtal refusal to-import or purchase" German-made goods. It is intended. to carry the-crusade through Now Zealand and to establish branches of the organisation in every ■ town, ‘ also to secure the co-operation of Australia. DARGAVILLE, May 14At a largo and representative meeting held to-day it was unanimously decided; . “That this meeting expresses its horror and contempt of the despicable crimes committed by the Germans, and that it expresses profound sympathy with , the relatives of victims of its nefarious acts.” It was also resolved to urge upon the Government to intern all alien enemy subjects and sympathisers.
