In the City Council election the wnole of m© «ux candidates on the .Labour ticket appear on tho list of unsuccessful candidates. MibS 13. Melville was re-elected, second on the poll. Dr Florence Keller headed the poll for the Hospital Board election. Birkenhead —Mr J. P, McPhaii was returned as Mayor. Cambridge—For the Mayoralty, Mr Wells was re-elected by a majority ot 160, Councillors elected were Messrs Care, Bell, Middleton, Browning;, Moorehouse. Bycroft, Priestly, Anderson, and Hunter. Auckland Harbour B’oard representative for Central Waikato, Mr /Francis Queen, farmer, Te Awamutu, who defeated Mr Dickinson by 62 votes and Mr Alien by SIX. Dargaville—Mr McLean was returned as Mayor unopposed. For the council Messrs H. Korgrove. J. H. Spragg, B A. Jackson. D. L. Boss and J. trost were elected, and Messrs W. Allen and H. G. Anderson will have the votes rccounted to-day for sixth place. Dannovirk© Four new councillors have been elected to the council, which now consists of Messrs Mencfy, mond, Armstrong, Anderson, Ashcrott, Carston, Dobson, Fraser and Stewart.
