(Received July i2, 5.5 p.m,) CALCUTTA, July 11, A series of mootings has been inaugurated under the auspices of the Indian Association tc assert the rights of Indians as British subjects. One speaker'•'declared that if the colonies declared war against the Indians. it would ho impossible for the latter to bo patriotic citizens of the Empire. The India Councils Bill was rejected by the House of Lords because the inclusion of Indians at the Council would be an eyesore to the English people.
